Tivoli Guitar
The Tivoli is the largest guitar I build at present. It is loosely based around an OM size guitar. The guitar is available in 2 versions:
- Standard, with solid Sitka spruce front, rosewood back and sides and mahogany neck, optional cut away.
- Double Top. This is with a Spruce front, having a Nomex core, double laminated solid sides and solid back with mahogany neck, optional cutaway.
Both versions have 14 frets to the body with an X braced top (the double top guitar has much lighter bracing) and a solid headstock. The double top construction is similar to my high end classical concert guitars but adapted specifically to suit steel strings. The guitar is available with or without a cutaway. (Please contact me for more information or questions regarding the Double Top guitar).
The neck is typically a 5-piece lamination for stiffness, along with a 2-way truss rod. It is shaped to a comfortable flattened C shape, but can be ordered to suit your own requirements. Different widths are also available to order.
An original hand made rosette is unique to each guitar. All Tivoli guitars will have slightly different detailing to suit the rosette. This means that no two guitars are the same. They are all unique and hand-made.
The Tivoli guitar has a balanced tone with good sustain and works well as a fingerstyle guitar but can be adapted to suit most playing styles.
